Technician L2
Wyetech is seeking an experienced Technician Level 2 to provide technical support for mission-critical SIGINT access, collection, and exploitation systems. The Technician will apply specialized technical knowledge to troubleshoot, maintain, install, integrate, test, and certify electronic, RF, telecommunications, and SIGINT systems and equipment.
The successful candidate will utilize system-level functions, diagnostics, hardware manipulation, fault isolation, test equipment, and established maintenance processes to resolve technical problems of varying complexity. This position also supports system design and testing, operational readiness, maintenance, repair, system integration, and lifecycle support.
Required Skills/Experience:
Ten (10) years of experience as a Technician supporting SIGINT access, collection, or exploitation systems.
Experience working with equipment applicable to the specific mission and Delivery Order.
Demonstrated proficiency in assessment, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Experience installing, maintaining, repairing, testing, and certifying electronic and RF systems.
Experience troubleshooting systems and performing module and component replacement and system checkout.
Experience with bench repair at the chassis, card, module, and/or component level.
Experience with telecommunications, SIGINT, and electronic test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret block diagrams, schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings, engineering notes, operating manuals, installation manuals, and maintenance documentation.
Ability to identify RF and electronic components, including amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, couplers, isolators, dividers, filters, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, resistors, inductors, capacitors, and relays.
Experience with soldering, electrical assembly, cable fabrication, mechanical fabrication, and system integration.
Experience identifying telecommunications system components, including switches, routers, and multiplexers.
Experience assisting with configuration and provisioning of network components.
Experience diagnosing and remediating system faults in accordance with maintenance manuals and established processes.
Capabilities:
Read block and schematic diagrams and engineering notes.
Identify RF and electronic components, including amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, couplers, isolators, dividers, filters, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, resistors, inductors, capacitors, and relays.
Perform soldering and electrical assembly.
Safely and proficiently operate tools, including power hand tools, drill presses, table saws, and metal brakes.
Demonstrate working knowledge of all applicable equipment safety requirements.
Assemble and integrate system components.
Identify telecommunications system components, including switches, routers, multiplexers, and related equipment.
Assist with configuration and provisioning of network components.
Diagnose and remediate system faults according to maintenance manuals and elevate unresolved trouble tickets in accordance with local site and Agency processes.
Operate test equipment, including function generators, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, volt-ohm-ammeters, fiber optic meters, BIT error testers, and multimeters.
Perform electrical assembly, including chassis wiring, system assembly, soldering wire to multi-pin connectors, and soldering components, including surface-mount components, to circuit cards.
Construct coaxial, semi-rigid, data, control, and ribbon cable assemblies.
Fabricate and assemble fiber-optic cables, including chassis wiring and systems connected through optical cable.
Install, test, and analyze RF and electronic circuits.
Rack, stack, and test systems, subsystems, and equipment.
Maintain laboratories used for system integration, testing, and lifecycle support.
Brief project and system status to technical management.
Provide daily technical support for evaluating requirements and developing cross-access strategies.
Engineer, document, install, troubleshoot, configure, and activate projects.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering notes, electronic schematics, operating, installation, and maintenance manuals and other technical documentation.
Perform mechanical fabrication and assembly of chassis, enclosures, antenna mounting brackets, motors, gear assemblies, and related components.
Apply working knowledge of military standards, material stress and strain, tolerances, and standard fabrication techniques.
Plan, read, and red-line rack layouts and interconnection diagrams.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot systems and equipment.
Develop and brief project and system information to senior-level personnel.
Maintain control of technical data holdings pertaining to applicable equipment and facilities.
Qualifications:
Ten (10) years of experience as a Technician supporting SIGINT access, collection, or exploitation systems is required.
Experience working with the type of equipment specified within or pertaining to applicable Delivery Orders is required.
Experience must include proficiency in assessment, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Two (2) years of additional related experience may be substituted for the Associate’s degree.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position-appropriate security clearance is required.

Rotating 12-hour shifts
Day Shift: 0600–1800
Night Shift: 1800–0600
Schedule: 3.5 days on / 3.5 days off
