Data Architect
Wyetech is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a multidisciplinary team supporting customer missions involving data acquisition, exploitation, engineering, and management. The team provides expertise across data engineering and operations, software engineering, security engineering, DevOps engineering, application development, data science, and program management.
The Data Architect will work across organizational boundaries and collaborate with other contractor teams, Customer personnel, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with cloud infrastructure, data management, data processing, ETL pipelines, and modern data architectures, along with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced mission environment.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure and data management.
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple operating system environments, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud environments, including AWS.
• Demonstrated experience with development and data environments including AWS, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Demonstrated experience conducting data processing activities.
• Experience developing solutions using Python.
• Demonstrated experience building and executing ETL pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience integrating data flows with industry-standard systems such as Niagara Falls.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and proactively identify and solve problems.
• Ability to provide clear, concise communications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support data acquisition, exploitation, engineering, and management activities within a multidisciplinary technical team.
• Design and support scalable data architectures and data-management solutions within cloud and distributed computing environments.
• Build, execute, and support ETL pipelines for mission data processing and integration.
• Integrate data flows with mission and industry-standard systems.
• Work with technologies such as AWS, HDFS, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, NoSQL, and Python to support data engineering and processing requirements.
• Collaborate across organizational boundaries with contractor teams, Customer personnel, and external stakeholders.
• Partner with data engineers, software engineers, security engineers, DevOps engineers, application developers, data scientists, and program management personnel to support mission objectives.
• Communicate technical concepts, issues, recommendations, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Independently identify technical challenges and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced mission environment.
Desired Skills/Experience:
• Knowledge of targeting workflows, tools, and environments.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic workflows.
• Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j.
• Experience supporting a hard-target mission area.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
