Wyetech is seeking a Hardware Engineer Level 2 to analyze complex hardware systems supporting SIGINT solutions. This position provides CONUS and OCONUS/Asia support and requires a highly experienced Hardware Engineer capable of supporting hardware design, architecture, network design, installation, testing, maintenance, and other technical hardware requirements.
The Hardware Engineer will provide hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design, and other technical hardware issues. The engineer will procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment; provide preventative and remedial hardware maintenance; and deploy, install, and implement hardware at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions.
• Experience analyzing hardware design, architecture, network design, and other technical hardware issues.
• Experience procuring and performing acceptance testing on equipment.
• Experience providing preventative and remedial hardware maintenance support.
• Experience deploying, installing, and implementing hardware at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Experience preparing hardware specifications by analyzing documented and derived system requirements.
• Experience conducting site surveys and assessing site-specific technical requirements.
• Experience preparing engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages.
• Experience organizing and directing hardware installations.
• Experience configuring and documenting the configuration of computers, networking devices, communications devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Experience preparing site installation and test reports.
• Ability to identify operational hardware problems and develop solutions that satisfy user requirements.
• Experience preparing reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technologies.
• Ability to provide hardware-specific input to system designs, including end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.
Capabilities:
• Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document practical designs for hardware components, including servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and specialized processors.
• Ensure problems with operational hardware are properly identified and solutions satisfy user requirements.
• Assist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Conduct site surveys and assess and document current site network configurations and site-unique requirements.
• Develop hardware installation schedules based on set-up, integration, and test timelines.
• Train site personnel in the proper use of hardware.
• Recommend specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.
• Prepare drawings documenting as-built configurations at each site.
• Prepare site installation and test reports.
• Configure computers, communications devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Prepare installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Organize and direct hardware installations across multiple sites.
• Design and verify test harnesses and simulated interfaces for all test and integration phases.
• Analyze and recommend hardware specifications for project-unique or modified commercial hardware.
• Assist with building simulations of proposed systems and provide hardware throughput analyses to system engineers.
• Prepare Mean-Time-Between-Failure (MTBF) and Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) analyses.
• Analyze operational data to identify choke points, failure modes, and other information that can support design or maintainability improvements.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires travel and provides CONUS and OCONUS/Asia support. Candidates must be able to travel as required to conduct site surveys and support hardware deployment, installation, implementation, integration, testing, maintenance, and other mission requirements.
Qualifications:
• Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI Government Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph is required.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation.
